Dr. Edward Meadows and the Pensacola State College Board of Trustees welcomed area dignitaries and the community to the grand opening of the new PSC Century Center Tuesday afternoon, September 18, 2012

The center, which occupies a portion of the old Carver/Century K-8 School in Century, opened in August 2011 with adult education and GED classes and expanded its curriculum in January 2012 to include Cosmetology, Certified Nursing Assistant, Construction, Electrical, universal transfer courses, and more.  The Center has plans to expand its programming to include EKG aid and Phlebotomy during spring semester of 2013.

"We are excited to serve the needs of North Escambia County," stated Dr. Ed Meadows, PSC president.  "We plan to engage the community in our growth and will be networking with area educators, businesses and community leaders to meet their future needs."

The Century Center also provides assistance to students with enrollment, financial aid, and academic advising.

There are currently 100 students enrolled at PSC's Century Center for the fall semester.
