Century’s 1st Annual Land to Lake Lighted Boat Parade

 

The Century Area Chamber of Commerce hosted Century’s Inaugural Land to Lake Lighted Boat Parade sponsored by Gulf Power and EREC. 

The parade began at 5:00 pm through the streets of Century and concluded at Lake Stone.

The parade participants were greeted at Lake Stone with many festivities.  Santa and Mrs. Clause were on hand with their sleigh to take Christmas wishes from every child.  A “Letter to Santa” table allowed children to write a letter to Santa.  They even got to put their letter in Santa’s personal mailbox.

The Lion’s Club provided hot chocolate and cookies for all to enjoy.  Quantum generously provided each child with plenty of candy and glow sticks.  Century Corrections made sure that everyone’s belly was full of fresh popped popcorn.  The Century Area Chamber of Commerce made available bbq sack’s which included a drink, bag of chips and sandwich for a $5.00 donation.

Each winner was awarded with a certificate and a gift from Don Grant, owner of Century Marine.
