REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

TOWN OF CENTURY

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN

 

The Town of Century, Florida is soliciting proposals from qualified individuals or firms interested in providing professional consulting services in conjunction with a Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, Division of Community Development, Technical Assistance Grant Program.  The project requires development of an Economic Development Strategic Plan for the Town.

Professional services required shall be secured in accordance with the Funding and Program Agreement Between The Department of Economic Opportunity and the Town of Century and the Town’s Procurement Policy.  Proposals for consulting services must indicate a fee for the service with an explanation of the basis for the fee.  The fee may be quoted as lump sum, percentage or hourly rate. 

Those firms or individuals interested in submitting a proposal must request, in writing, a copy of the Request for Consulting Services for the Development of an Economic Development Strategic Plan from Mrs. Kristina Wood, Deputy Town Clerk, 7995 North Century Boulevard, Century, Florida  32535 by mail or by email:  kwood@centuryflorida.us.  Provide the company name, contact person, address, phone number, and email address in all requests.  Proposals must be received by 3:00 P.M., local time, Friday, August 23, 2013, to be considered.  Proposals may not be submitted by email.

The Town of Century, Florida proposes to award a contract to the provider whose proposal is deemed most advantageous to the Town subject to the negotiation of fair and reasonable compensation consistent with industry standards.

The Town of Century reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any irregularities in the proposal process, and if an award is made, will be made to the most responsible firm whose proposal indicates that the award will be in the best interest of the Town of Century.  The Town further certifies that it will not discriminate during the selection process on the basis of age, race, sex, creed, color, handicap, national origin or marital status.
