Century Correctional Institution recognized employees with milestone anniversaries on Friday, May 10th at 11:00 a.m. in the Training Building.  Employees were treated to hamburgers and hotdogs with all the fixings.  There were plenty of laughs and fellowship among this group of amazing people.

Following lunch, Warden Whitehurst presented certificates and umbrella pins to employees who had reached milestone anniversaries (5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of service).  There were many who were not able to attend due to being on duty or at home resting from just working off of duty.  Warden Whitehurst said, “Even those who are absent will be called out because they deserve it.”

Century Corrections is the largest employer in Century.  They are ranked one of the top facilities in the region.  Century Corrections is one of the few facilities that operates in the black by a considerable amount.

The staff at Century Correctional Institution not only put in their best at work but also give their heart and soul to their community.   After their paying job is done, they go home to families, coach a ball team, volunteer at school, etc.

Warden Whitehurst said, “I am honored and humbled to be the Warden at Century Corrections.  I could not do this without the wonderful staff and support that this facility is blessed with.”
