The Century Area Chamber of Commerce selected Century Correctional Institution as the recipient of the Community Pride Award for the month of March.  Century Correctional Institution was chosen for their dedication to the upkeep of the community as well as for being the largest employer in Century, Florida.

John Whitehurst, Warden at Century Corrections, expressed his heartfelt desire to “give-back” to this community.  Whitehurst said, “Without communities, we would not be here today.  Our goal is to put money back into the community.  We make sure that when possible, we purchase from local vendors and stores.”
